Why We Built This Site
Texas provides several public access routes, but no single search contains every part of a person's history. The Brazoria County Sheriff maintains jail and sheriff-created records. The District Clerk keeps felony case files, while county, justice, and municipal courts maintain matters within their own jurisdiction. The Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division operates the statewide repository and public conviction search. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry cover separate correctional and registration information. We bring the verified contacts, fees, portals, and request steps for these distinct systems together.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how Brazoria County court, arrest, booking, and registry searches differ
- Agency contacts: how to reach the Sheriff, court clerks, and Texas record systems
- Official check walkthroughs: how DPS name and fingerprint review channels work
- Record-clearing guidance: how Texas expunction and nondisclosure differ and where local petitions begin
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, independent of every Texas court, law-enforcement office, and state agency. Those limits mean:
- We do not issue certified court documents, rap sheets, or other official records
- We cannot submit an expunction petition, public-information request, or court filing for a reader
- We do not perform official criminal history checks
- We cannot interpret a charge or case as legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency's fee, address, phone number, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Brazoria County Sheriff, the appropriate court clerk, or the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, prices, privacy practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of these tools may produce a referral fee for this site, which helps fund free access to the guides. We neither set the provider's charges nor determine what its search returns.
